SF2 work

I did a test insert of Guile’s new background into the game…

You can see from the second pic, that the animation updates to the tilemap are corrupt. Need to figure out the map routines and hack them. A few other tweaks need to be made as well (tilemap and palette stuff), but so far so good 😀

    It’s been a couple of weeks since last time, so I thought I should give some news about the PCE LUNAR project. I found a talented programmer on the Necstasy forum named Xav (there are chances that you know him already. 🙂 He has been programming a PC Engine version of Sonic for several months. Although he’s busy at the moment, he said he’ll try to code something that would allow us to recreate the maps (a map editor ?)
    In the meantime, I have created a couple of screenshots for the PC Engine version (color reference for the tiles in the future), with the MCD version as a base, but using more vibrant colors, and at the same time creating new graphic elements for the BGs. I’ve also drawn the picture for the wrong system card message. 🙂

  2. Was the SF2ce hack for PC engine ever finished? The added backgrounds look amazing.
